AI Processing Partners

Some PlanexAI features are powered by third-party artificial intelligence (AI) service providers. When you use those features, the content you share for them is transmitted to the relevant provider to perform the work, and the app asks for your permission before the first such transmission:

• OpenAI (OpenAI, L.L.C.): processes the syllabus files, study guides, notes, photos of notes or diagrams, transcripts, and voice recordings you submit, in order to extract assignments and course details, transcribe audio, and generate study material such as flashcards, quizzes, and study plans. It also processes your study activity summaries to produce study insights, and diagram images you submit for automatic label detection.
• Anthropic, PBC: processes the messages you send to the PlanexAI assistant (typed or transcribed from voice), together with the schedule context needed to answer and carry out your commands, and the career discovery quiz answers you submit for a career recommendation.

Only the content you provide for these features is sent; we do not send your account credentials or payment details to these providers. Both providers process this data under API terms that prohibit using it to train their models, and both provide data protection commitments consistent with this policy. You can decline AI processing in the app; the related features simply remain unused.

We also limit identity exposure in these requests: assistant requests never include your name, email address, or account identifier, only the messages you write and the schedule context needed to answer them. Where a feature summarizes your study activity (such as the weekly report), we send a de-identified profile that deliberately excludes your name, email, account identifier, and institution, using only coarse attributes like education level and study goals.

Academic Content

Your uploaded academic content (syllabi, assignments, grades) is kept private and only used to provide our intelligent services to you. We may use aggregated, anonymized data to improve our intelligence, but this data cannot identify individual users.

5. Data Security

We implement robust security measures to protect your information:
