- 1Open the course and tap the share icon in its header.
- 2Your course gets a 12-character code. Tap Share the code to send it to your group chat, or Copy code.
- 3Anyone with the code adds the course, every assignment and exam included.
Only the course content travels. Your grades, progress, and personal notes never leave your account. Deactivate code stops new joins anytime; sharing again mints a fresh code.
Join with a code
- 1On the Plan tab, tap + and choose Join with a code.
- 2Enter the code. You see exactly what you are adding first: the course, its term, and how many assignments come with it.
- 3Tap Add to my courses. The whole course lands in your planner with fresh progress, all yours.
Frequently asked questions
Does joining a shared course copy my classmate’s grades?
No. A shared course copies the course details and assignments only; grades, completion status, and time tracking start fresh and stay private to each student.
What happens if the syllabus changes after I joined?
Your copy is independent; edits your classmate makes later do not sync. If dates change, either student can update their own copy, or rescan the syllabus.
