Create an assignment

  1. 1Open the Plan tab, tap +, and choose New assignment (or New exam to jump straight to an exam).
  2. 2Give it a title and pick the course.
  3. 3Choose the type: homework, quiz, exam, project, essay, lab, reading, or other.
  4. 4Set the due date and time, and a priority: Low, Medium, High, or Critical.
  5. 5Leave the time estimate on Automatic and PlanexAI estimates the hours, or choose Set my own.

For exams, fill in the description with the topics, chapters, or units it covers. Exam Mode uses it to build targeted practice cards: see Get exam ready.

Work with an assignment

Open any assignment to flip its status between Not started, In progress, and Done, or to see its type, priority, points, estimated hours, and grade. The pencil opens editing; the trash deletes with a brief undo window, so a slip is never fatal.

On the web

The Assignments page in the dashboard sidebar lists everything across courses, and the Today page surfaces what needs attention first: overdue items, due today, and tonight’s plan.

Frequently asked questions

What happens when I mark an assignment Done?

It leaves your Today list and due-soon views, counts toward course progress, and feeds your term progress ring. Grades you enter later feed the GPA projection.

I deleted an assignment by mistake. Can I get it back?

Right after deleting, an undo toast appears; tap it to restore. Once the toast is gone the deletion is final, but you can always recreate the assignment.
